Dunsky Welcomes (Back) François Bergeron!

Dunsky is pleased to announce the return of François (“Frank”) Bergeron to our team of clean energy experts.

François first joined Dunsky in 2018. After a brief hiatus with another firm, he’s chosen to return to Dunsky as a Senior Research Lead, where he will provide expert technical advice to clients and co-lead our Energy Modelling group. His return further deepens our impressive bench of technical experts who are helping meet one of the generational challenges facing our energy systems: expanding our clean energy capabilities – on both the supply and demand sides – to enable electrification affordably, efficiently and reliably.

François has worked for clients across North America on both the supply and demand sides of the energy equation. A seasoned energy systems modeller, François will support Dunsky’s efforts to helps utilities, system operators, governments and others to:

• Assess the technical, economic, and market potential of distributed energy resources (#DERs)
• Become leaders in demand-side management (#DSM) by slashing waste and shaping loads in ways that are beneficial to all
• Analyze least-cost pathways for economy-wide decarbonization
• Understand the pace and magnitude of oncoming load growth from electrification through sophisticated, nuanced load forecasting
• Deliver insights into the costs, growth, and impacts of clean energy on electricity grids and utility business models
• Leverage holistic perspectives encompassing policy, technical and regulatory solutions to meet these challenges

As the electricity system fully enters a period of disruption, Dunsky helps clients not only understand market shifts but also navigate and seize the opportunities they create.
