Dunsky is pleased to welcome Mabel Fulford and Brett Kerrigan to our growing team. Based in Ontario, Mabel and Brett bring deep expertise across a range of areas, including energy systems modelling, distributed energy resources, and vehicle-grid integration, strengthening our team’s established and recognized expertise across these key sectors of the energy transition.

Mabel Fulford – experience in VGI, DERs and VPPs

Mabel joins Dunsky as a Managing Consultant, bringing 15 years of experience in consulting, business development, and project delivery across the energy and cleantech sectors. She is recognized as a leading practitioner in vehicle-grid integration (VGI), vehicle-to-grid (V2G/V2X), distributed energy resources (DERs), and virtual power plants (VPPs), with particular depth in the Ontario market and hands-on experience across leading North American jurisdictions including California, Massachusetts, and New York.

Mabel is known for her ability to bridge technical complexity and business priorities, facilitating stakeholder workshops to gain meaningful insights and solve challenging, cross-sector problems. At Dunsky, she will support a wide range of projects, with a focus on helping our Ontario-based clients seize opportunities during this newest chapter in the province’s energy sector.

Prior to joining Dunsky, Mabel was Director of Innovation Partnerships at Peak Power, where she led utility, automaker, OEM, and government collaborations to commercialize Canada’s largest V2X deployment and secure multi-million-dollar innovation funding. She also held management and consulting roles at Heliolytics and ICF.

Brett Kerrigan – experience in energy modelling, DER and DSM potential assessments

With more than 15 years of experience advancing the decarbonization of energy systems, Brett joins Dunsky as a Senior Research Lead. He combines deep technical expertise and software development experience with strong communication skills to deliver high-quality, client-specific analysis that supports effective decision-making. Brett brings a multidisciplinary perspective shaped by roles in government, advisory firms, startups, and the non-profit sector, most recently serving as Director of Analytics and Insights at the Building Decarbonization Alliance.

Across North America, Brett’s work has focused on energy modelling and strategy development for a wide range of clean energy priorities, including large-scale smart meter analytics to evaluate electrification and demand response programs, development of modelling tools and SaaS platforms to support policymaking and building-scale planning, DER and DSM potential assessments, and high-performance building design.

An accomplished energy modeller, Brett strengthens Dunsky’s team with deep experience in load forecasting, smart meter analytics, and software development to support decarbonization planning.
