Philippe Named to Energy Thought Leaders Group
Dunsky is pleased to announce that our president, Philippe Dunsky, has been named by the Government of Canada to its energy thought leaders advisory group, formally known as the Generation Energy Council. Convened by Canada’s Minister of Energy, the group will advise the federal government on steps needed to transform the country’s energy economy, align it with Paris Accord commitments to reduce carbon emissions, and position Canada as a leader in the energy economy of the future.
Philippe is honoured to join 13 esteemed colleagues – leaders from the power generation, oil and gas, renewables, aboriginal, electric mobility and capital market communities across the country – in this new challenge.
The Council’s work will be informed by takeaways from the Generation Energy Forum held in Winnipeg in October 2017, by public input gathered over the last six months and by world-class analysis. It will inform the country’s next energy policy.
More on the members of the group and their mandate can be found here.
