When the Quebec government recently created Transition énergétique Québec (TEQ), the new agency responsible for coordinating the province’s transition to a clean energy economy, it also enshrined stakeholder engagement into law. TEQ’s permanent Stakeholder Working Group was formed this summer, and Dunsky was retained to provide it expert advice and counsel as it moves toward reviewing TEQ’s proposed Master Plan for energy efficiency and carbon emissions reduction, and advising the government accordingly.

Dunsky has begun by sharing knowledge with the group on best practices in planning, program design, evaluation and oversight of energy efficiency strategies. In the coming months, we look forward to continuing our work with the group’s members who hail from a broad cross-section of the province’s consumer, builder, mobility and local government communities.
